Facebook Information for members of Blackpool Civic Trust
Our page is called Blackpool Civic Trust Official Page. Always ensure that is the page you are looking at. To view it click here.
It is easy to obtain a Facebook account by registering on their website. Note that it is not necessary for you to enter much information about yourself. You can also use a 'nom de plume' although it's against Facebook rules.
The privacy settings are fairly complex so until you understand how to use the site we'd recommend that you keep information to a minimum.
The main purpose of Facebook is to interact with friends but there are a lot of informative topics covering politics, tv shows, hobbies, personalities, shops. Most pages have open access. Those on sensible topics like The Grand Theatre, BBC North West are in good taste. Those on less sensible topics, classed as 'for fun', have all sorts of stuff on them.
Once you get an account you can find pages by typing the name you are looking for in the search box at the top of the page. Once on a page you want to see more of click the 'Like it' button to get full access and appear on the list of 'likers' of the page. You will then get updates of that page automatically on your own page.
Blackpool Civic Trust cannot take responsibility for anything on Facebook.
