Blackpool Heritage Trail
A walk in Blackpool.
Blackpool is a comparatively young town but has many interesting buildings and sites that contain many interesting stories, particularly in the world of entertainment. In fact, if it isn't getting carried away, it is unlikely that many towns have such a collection. Take as examples the tower and its ballroom or the Winter Gardens with it's fine halls and rooms.
The trail has 33 places of interest and takes about 90 minutes. It goes from the Town Hall then north along the Promenade. Inland towards the Odeon, Winter Gardens and St Johns and the sites of the Empire Theatre, Big Wheel, Central Station. Then along the prom to the Tower.
The full story of the trail is contained in a leaflet which we will shortly make available on line.
Please note:The trail is being added onto Google Maps which can be accessed by clicking on the link below the map.
If you do this and click on 'File then Print' in your browser it will show the map and descriptions of the walk. Recommend a preview of the print first to ensure the map is right.
